Scholarships Award Ceremony from HELLENIC PETROLEUM

HELLENIC PETROLEUM awarded a total of nineteen (19) Scholarships to distinguished graduate students who will continue their studies in postgraduate programs at the University of Piraeus, the Technical University of Crete and the Athens University of Economics and Business. The award ceremony took place in the morning of Friday 13/10/2017 at the headquarters of the Hellenic Petroleum Group.

 

Most of the graduates come from the countries in which the Group is active and are in Greece to continue their studies at the top University Institutions in order to develop their skills and to prepare them properly for their integration into the labor market. Teaching in postgraduate programs is done in English using innovative methods including seminar sessions, educational visits and research papers related to Strategy, Law and Energy Economics, as well as developments in research, production and exploitation Hydrocarbons.

 

Mr. Gregory Stergioulis the CEO of HELLENIC PETROLEUM said in his brief greeting, "Our contribution to these specialized postgraduate programs aims at providing a high level of knowledge for young scientists as well as in expanding scientific and research cooperation between the Group, the academic community and the scientific potential of the programs, with obvious benefits for the Group, the National Economy and society."

 

Petroleum Engineering postgraduate program of the Technical University of Crete is a one-year, full-time program, designed to provide students with a scientific background in hydrocarbon exploration and skills in the practical aspects of petroleum engineering. The program begins in October, and leads to a Master of Science (MSc) degree. The program is run by the School of Mineral Resources Engineering.
