Entry requirements

A Higher Education degree in Engineering or a science discipline relevant to the program’s subject is a prerequisite. Additionally, certification of good knowledge of the English language is required. Scientific and professional experience is also welcome.

 Important notice:According to the new law for Greek higher education (Law 4485/2017 Article 34 (7)) international students that will be selected for our program are obliged to certify their undergraduate diplomas in the Hellenic National Academic Recognition Information Center (Hellenic NARIC) in order to graduate from our course.


The applicants need to submit the following documents:


  • Αpplication form (complete and signed)

  • Copies of the degrees and relevant documents showing the marks per received courses    

  • If the degree has not been awarded at the time of application, a document issued by the School/Department Secretariat certifying that all the obligations for graduation have been fulfilled    

  • Proof of competence and fluency in the English language (Lower level or higher). A certificate from the university for use of English language as medium of instruction.

  • Detailed CV indicating scientific or industrial experience e.t.c.

  • Two reference letters submitted directly from the referees email address to: info@peteng-master.tuc.gr

Applications may be submitted online in our webpage or in person or sent by post or e-mail to the School’s Office (School of Mineral Resources Engineering, Technical University of Crete, Kounoupidiana, 73100, Chania, Greece, email: info@peteng-master.tuc.gr) in two rounds: an early round until 30/06/2018 and a late one until 30/09/2018. Application deadline for candidates who need a visa is 30/06/2018.

Petroleum Engineering postgraduate program of the Technical University of Crete is a one-year, full-time program, designed to provide students with a scientific background in hydrocarbon exploration and skills in the practical aspects of petroleum engineering. The program begins in October, and leads to a Master of Science (MSc) degree. The program is run by the School of Mineral Resources Engineering.
